Why Choose PPS Filter Felt for Your Filtration Needs?

PPS filter felt is a filtration material manufactured by our company using polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) fibers produced by Toray and Toyobo of Japan, processed in accordance with high-temperature filter felt production techniques. It is one of the primary types of high-temperature filtration materials.

PPS needle-punched filter media delivers outstanding performance in the following applications.

  1. Operating temperature ≤ 190°C, short-term operating temperature 210°C, melting point 285°C, limiting oxygen index 34–35.
  2. Suitable for applications where the oxygen content is 8% or less.
  3. In applications where fuel or flue gas contains sulfur, PPS has been proven to be a fiber with strong resistance to acid and alkali corrosion as well as excellent chemical resistance.
  4. Applications where flue gas contains moisture.
  5. Under operating conditions with temperatures ≤190°C, PPS filter bags perform exceptionally well with an air-to-cloth ratio of up to 5:1 for online cleaning and 6:1 for offline cleaning.

PPS fibers combine strength retention with chemical resistance, maintaining excellent filtration performance in harsh environments and achieving an ideal service life. PPS filter felts are the ideal filtration material for pulse-jet dust collectors used in coal-fired boilers, waste incinerators, and fly ash collection systems at power plants.

Key Technical Attributes of PPS Filter Felt

STEP 1

High-Temperature Resistance

PPS Filter Felt can operate continuously at temperatures up to 200°C, which is essential for industries dealing with hot filtration processes. This high-temperature resistance allows it to maintain its structural integrity without compromising the filtration efficiency.

STEP 2

Chemical Stability

The felt is resistant to most acids and alkalis, providing a reliable filtration solution in chemically aggressive environments. This chemical stability ensures that the PPS Filter Felt does not react with the filtration media, thus preserving its effectiveness over time.

STEP 3

Uniform Thickness

With a consistent thickness ranging from 1mm to 5mm, PPS Filter Felt ensures uniform filtration across its surface. This uniformity contributes to a more efficient and consistent filtration process, reducing the risk of by-passing or clogging.

STEP 4

Dimensional Stability

PPS Filter Felt maintains its shape and size even under the stress of high temperatures and chemical exposure. This dimensional stability is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the filtration system and prolonging the life of the filter.
